Tune In Tuesday is a weekly feature in which bloggers get to showcase another one of their loves, music! This feature was originally created by Ginger over at GReads! but you can now find it here at Kate’s Tales of Books and Bands. If you would like to participate in this weekly feature, make a blog post showcasing a song (or a few!) and link up at the bottom of this post by clicking the cute blue guy! While you’re here make sure to check out all the other awesome blogs that have decided to participate!
Hi there everyone!! I am still dealing with some major computer issues this week but I managed to snag my parent’s laptop for a few minutes so I could write up this Tune In Tuesday post. In less than one day I will be on my way to the glorious, beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii!! I am excited that I get to go but I am even more thrilled that I get to see my sister again (and her new baby + my brother-in law!) I feel like I have been impatiently waiting for this trip for months and now it is finally here and I am not ready (seriously, I have yet to pack) Anyways, I decided since I will be on my way to Hawaii shortly, I should leave you guys with a little island-inspired music. I hope you enjoy and HAPPY TUESDAY!
Over The Rainbow by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole
It is impossible to listen to this song and not think of Hawaii. I just LOVE it.
Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride by Mark Keali’i Ho’omalu + Kamehameha Schools Children’s Chorus
THIS SONG! I used to try to sing this song (and fail epically) every time I watched Lilo and Stitch. Love the movie and love this song!
Can’t Help Falling In Love by Twenty One Pilots
Okay guys, the Elvis Presley version will forever be my favorite and I adore Ingrid’s cover something fierce but I saw this cover on YouTube and had to share it. There’s just something about a ukulele that makes me think of Hawaii! Also, twenty one pilots rock my socks off.
I’m Yours by Jason Mraz
Not only do I still freaking LOVE this song after all this time but it is also rocking the ukulele AND was filmed in Hawaii!
